Yamaha 12000 Kits

We have all four types of kits for the Yamaha EF12000 EF12000DE generator.   If you're not sure what each type means, click on the Quick Help Links to the left for more details.

Ordering is easy.  Simply choose the type of kit you require based on your gas system that you have or will be getting.  Clicking on the appropriate Yes link will take you to the order page.

 Special notes:

The Type 1 and Type 3 kits for this engine require a little better than average mechanical skill.  The carburetor is removed and the high speed jet, which is pressed in and sealed with a BB type plug, is drill out (upper arrow as shown below).  Once drilled, the hole has to be tapped with a standard 3/8-24 hand tap.  This can be performed using a vise and a corded or cordless drill  The original hole is enlarged so following the passage will keep automatically keep the drill bit straight.  The idle mixture screw is removed and a new vacuum fitting is supplied to pick up engine vacuum for the fuel cut-off safety system (lower arrow, aluminum disc is covering the screw. The disc is pried off and the screw is removed).

The Type 2 and Type 4 Kits include an adapter the installs between the carburetor and the air cleaner assembly.  Three longer screws are included.  The idle mixture screw is also removed, as explained above, for the fuel cut-off safety system.
